Residential junk removal in Garland and North Dallas

A North Dallas house rarely fills up all at once. It fills in seasons. A treadmill after January. Boxes after a move. A recliner that lost its room. Then one Saturday you cannot get past the dining chairs stacked in the hall, and the city’s bulk-trash week is twelve days away. Jolly Goat Junk treats that pile as a job, not a personality test. We work out of Garland, so the ordinary residential call is close: a ranch off Centerville, a Firewheel garage that has not held a car in years, a Richardson townhome whose HOA will not let a dumpster sit in the driveway, a Plano spare room that became a storage unit with better lighting. Rowlett lake-lot houses, Sachse new builds, Mesquite sofas that missed the city’s week — same trailer, same volume card. The trailer is a 15-yard dump trailer with fourteen cubic yards of usable space. That is the unit we sell. We are not a 40-yard demolition outfit, and we will not pretend a ranch-house cleanout is a commercial tear-down. Most homes land in the quarter to half-load range: about $275 to $450. A single bulky piece is the $125–$175 minimum. A packed garage that has been collecting since the kids left can fill the whole bed at $770.

How it works is deliberately un-theatrical. You text photos of the pile, the path to the street, and any stairs. We send a range based on how much of the trailer it will fill. On site we confirm the number in the driveway before anything is lifted. If the pile grew since the photos, we say so then — not after the last lamp is on the trailer. That confirmation is the job. The rest is lifting.

You do not have to pre-sort into perfect donate / dump / keep pyramids. Helpful, yes. Required, no. Walk the rooms with us at the start and mark what stays. Tape, a sticky note, a verbal “that cabinet is staying” all work. We would rather pause for a question than haul a dresser someone meant to keep.

Inside the house is normal. Closets, spare bedrooms, the patio, the alley side of a duplex in Lake Highlands. We need a path wide enough for a dresser and a clear yes/no. One flight of stairs is a small access add. Two flights or a long carry from a back unit is more, and we will say that in the range, not as a surprise at the curb. Elevators in apartments are fine if the office will let us use them.

What rides: furniture, mattresses, box springs, ordinary household junk, garage overflow, toys, carpet scraps, a dead mower with the fuel emptied, the grill that rusted through, the bookshelf that lost a shelf. What does not: wet paint, fuels, solvents, household chemicals, explosives, ammunition, or a refrigerator still charged with refrigerant. We will flag those from a photo when we can see them, and on site if we cannot.

City bulk pickup in Garland, Richardson, and Plano is real, and it is also picky. The item has to be the right type on the right week, and you still do the dragging. If the pile is mixed, heavy, or simply due now because you are listing the house, paying a crew is usually cheaper than three weekends of borrowed trucks and strained backs.

HOA streets from Murphy to East Plano often ban roll-off dumpsters for a reason: they sit. We park, we load, we leave. The association sees a trailer for a morning, not a steel box through the weekend. If visitor parking or a gate code is involved, tell us when you book. Short-term loading is the whole point.

Same-day happens when the calendar has a window, not because we printed a national promise on a magnet. Send the photos and a cross street — Walnut, Jupiter, Campbell, Dalrock, Firewheel — and we will tell you the next honest slot. Sundays are by arrangement. Usable items get pulled off the landfill pile when it is honest to do so — clean furniture, boxed goods that are not a science project. We do not auction your mother’s china, and we do not pad a page with invented praise. The proof is a broom-clean floor in the rooms we worked and a number that matched the driveway conversation.
